First Free Agent to change teams

Amare Stoudemire signs with Knicks, 5yr/$100 million

Should know about the rest of the free agents before long. Not sure if this takes the Knicks out of the running for Lebron, which could be a clue he is staying in Cleveland - or if this is a move to help them get him (and improve their team as well).

So far this crazy free agent class hasn't lived up to it's billing, hopefully it will start getting more interesting.

I meant to ask pvfan the other day if he was going to be a big Lakers fan now. Blake is heading to the Lakers apparently.

I'll pull for the Lakers and the Grizzlies. If they play each other I'll just hope Blake and Vasquez play well.

Blake could fit in well in LA next year. The PG position doesn't require you to work the ball around as much as it is key to stretch the defense. If Blake can keep popping the 3's he should make a great contribution.

As long as the Lakers re-sign Fisher, Blake can step into Jordan Farmar's role and be an upgrade.

Fisher isn't big on the pay cut the Lakers are offering, but I think in the end he will re-sign.

Yeah. I think his excursion to Utah showed him that as a PG, he's best in the Triangle, and the only way he's running that is by sticking with Phil.

That's my trepidation about Blake if Fisher doesn't re-sign--Blake's good, but can he mold himself to be the starting PG in the Triangle? Not dogging him, just saying it's a system he hasn't run before...it would be a transition for any PG, not just him.

Re: First Free Agent to change teams

There were some early rumors that Blake could possibly go to Orlando to back up Jameer Nelson. That would put him as the back up making assists to the one and only JJ Red-ick.

That would have defintely increases his yearly assists numbers.

Then DD would have been a Magic fan with me
